The account I want to filter is a target account of a transfer and, in some cases, the target account of a split transaction from another account. Filtering the way you suggest would include transactions from the source account as well. Try it. The only way I can figure to isolate the target account is via Transaction reports specifying only the target account.

gregory.youngtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/30563122010-09-22T02:30:10Z2010-09-22T02:30:10ZFilter by cleared status

Hi gregory-young,
See if the Advanced Search (Edit > Advanced Search) fits your need, it appears that you can filter by 'Cleared' status.
Could you give an example? If you know the target account you can select it under the Account box by clicking on the double arrows to the far left of the box.

Nonametag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/30563122010-09-22T02:51:14Z2010-09-22T02:55:38ZFilter by cleared status

Example: A transaction entered on a credit card account is split two ways …. half of the total goes to the category "Lawn & Garden" and the other half was the same item you bought for a friend who will pay you back, say "Due From Others" (an asset account). In the mean time, the original credit card transaction gets cleared (I got a statement and balanced it). The Due From Others account transaction is uncleared because the neighbor has not paid you back. If you search the Due From Others account for uncleared items, you will not find any because the "transaction" is cleared (because you filtered for that) or you get both transactions because you did not filter for that. At least I can't get either search to work correctly. The only way I can isolate that uncleared item in the Due From Others account is via Transaction Reporting where the Filter by Tag is an option. Thus my request to add the additional filter for cleared status.
Does this make sense to anybody ?

gregory.youngtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/30563122010-09-22T13:43:22Z2010-09-22T13:43:22ZFilter by cleared status

The current search report or advanced search only looks at the cleared status on the "parent transaction" where the parent transaction is the transaction in the source account. We recognize that this is a problem and are working on a fix.
