Batch change for other side of transaction

I often look at my categories and decide that I want to make a change, but the process is very tedious because I cannot make a batch change to the other side of a transaction.

For example let's say I want to break down my "Food" category into 2 sub-categories: "Grocery" and "Restaurant." I pay for food with several different accounts: cash, check, and credit. I can see all food transactions by double clicking on the food category, but I cannot change the category because the category shows the account which was used, not "Food."

Right now I have to either: 1) click each transaction, show other side, and change it manually, or 2) search for my food category in a particular account and then use a batch change, and repeat the process for each account.

I want to be able to select several transactions in my "Food" category and quickly split them into Grocery and Restaurant. Is there a way to do this? If not, can this feature be added? Quicken 04 Mac did not have this feature either, but it would be very helpful for cleaning up and organizing my transactions into categories.

JP, You can go to the other side of a transaction and make batch changes there ie in your "Food" account. But on the other side you don't want to change the category of course, you want to change the account. And "restaurant" and "grocery" won't show up as choices for batch account changes. We will change that in a future release of Moneydance so that is possible. Thank you for the suggestion. In the meantime, it is in fact necessary to do the batch changes one account at a time.
