I have mentioned before that I would like to see more, and expanded, Home Page thermometers. A couple things that might be implementable fairly quickly and I believe would significantly enhancef the current income/expense thermometer are the following:

1) Add a numeric total directly to the right fo the selected graph title, i.e. "Expenses for last 30 days - $9999999".

2) Add a (slender) contrasting bar on top of the exsiting graph, and below the graph title, that indicates the total of the "contra" account grouping for the selected graph, i.e. for "Expenses for last 30 days", the contra would be "Income for the last 30 days". For additional clarity, "expense - $ total # ", or "income - $ total # ", could be embedded in the "contra" bar or added to the graph title as:
"Expenses (income) for last 30 days - $9999999, ($99999)" for example.

Essentially, the thermometer would become a dual graph, without the "drill down" detail for the contra account grouping, and much more useful for overview/comparison.
