Ability to zero account balances
I would like to have the ability to zero out accounts to start
the new year. As of now, accounts that that have only 1
transaction, are showing balances carried over from the previous
year. For instance, my Charitable Contributions for Missions should
show a balance of x number of dollars for this year and not this
month plus the carry over from last year.

Hi Chris
There is an existing suggestion ticket for this suggestion. I have linked the ticket to this discussion such that your post counts as a vote for the ticket.
In the mean time when you run a an income and expense report you can set the date to "this year" such that prior years transactions will not be included in the report.
