Create 1099-Misc
I use MD for my small business (medical office). I need to provide 1099-Misc forms to outside vendors. It would be great if when I do a search for a particular vendor/charge I could create a 1099-Misc from the total of those accounts, or some other way I could fill out the form directly from MD. Lacking that, any suggestions on how to fill one of these out on my Mac?

Moneydance is designed for personal finance use, and it's not currently possible to fill out 1099s through the program. It's possible we might implement this functionality in the future, but quite honestly it's not likely.
I don't have any suggestions on how to fill these out on a Mac, but I do know that there are some excellent online services (some of which are free) for 1099s. I am a bit of a luddite at tax time and have generally gone the route of "buy the paper forms from Staples and fill them out with an ink-pen," so I don't have much firm advice here. I'll leave this thread open in the hopes that one of our other users might have some insight for you.
