Since it was long closed, I had to add a new discussion to comment on the original "Add Nickname for On-line Payments" one I started back in 2009.

First, just noticed the multiple account per on-line payee function (drop-down selector) now seems to work - hooray!

Second, if clicking the "new payment" button were to bring up the payee window for payee selection, the need for the "nickname" I suggested would probably be eliminated. Seeing a payee's associated accounts will generally indicate which payee to use when the same payee even has multiple payment addresses.

Yeah, hey, what ever became of this extremely important feature request? I am a recent convert to Moneydance from MS Money, and this one lacking feature is the biggest issue I've found with Moneydance. Surely it can't be difficult to write code such that anything included within { } doesn't get sent, and is just for our own local use?

Any chance the ticket number (for any discussion that gets one assigned) could be made a link to the ticket in Trackit, or even just a link to Trackit?

I always have a hard time finding it if/when I lose its browser bookmark.

Found the Trac system again, but got below error on login. Will try later.

The action that triggered the error was:

    GET: /login

I agree with the previous posters from 2009 and recently this year! I've got several institutions in which different family members have separate account numbers (like hospitals, schools, doctors, etc) and it is very difficult to pay a bill and get it to the right account number at that institution. What a mess. And now I'm having trouble getting more than one account number to remain when I edit and add another account. What's the deal? I'm a recent convert to Moneydance from Quicken due to moving from PC to a MAC, but Moneydance is not nearly as user friendly... however, I'll give it a bit more time to get used to.

Count me in this too. Having multiple payees or one payee with multiple account numbers is great but we need some human-friendly way to choose which to use when making a payment. Having to recognize addresses or account numbers manually is not viable. We need something visible that is stripped out when the payment is processed. I think the {foo} approach is good. Just allow it in both the Payee name and the account lines. (I hope {} are not used in account IDs.)

    Thanks!

Please put this feature at the top of the list. As I have gotten old enough for medicare, I am starting to have many more "same payee with different account numbers and/or addresses".

I am afraid my work-around of putting a ( xx) code after the payee name for my insurance policies is just not going to fly with payments to government agencies.

I've been patiently watching this thread over the past year or so hoping someone makes this simple fix a priority. My patience is beginning to wear thin..
