WebConnect
So there have been MANY discussions about web connect and your support staff has been gracious to chime in quickly to answer those questions, however, there seems to be mixed information about this from the different responses. Can we get a more definitive response that brings all of these questions together please?

Hi Rob,
I'm not working on this extension, but am definitely still working
on web connect in Moneydance proper. We're aiming for a testable
version soon. We had a slight setback recently that has been
difficult to work around, but I hope to be back on track soon. I'll
definitely let everyone know when a beta is available.

Hello,
Thank you for your suggestion. We too realize the benefits of web
connect. Unfortunately, web connect would be very difficult for a
company of our size to implement, as it essentially requires a
specific process for each bank's website to automate the manual
transaction download. We would definitely like to be able to
implement this service, but it is unlikely that this will happen in
the foreseeable future.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

HI TJ,
Sorry for the confusion. There are actually two different methods of connecting that can be referred to as "web connect." Quicken calls them Web Connect and Express Web Connect. We are working on plain Web Connect for Moneydance. Basically, this will make it easier to download your statements from your bank's website in a seamless way from within Moneydance.
Express Web Connect looks more like direct connect to the end user, and is more complicated and expensive to implement on our end. If fact, it is prohibitively expensive for a small company like Moneydance, which is we're focused on the first version of Web Connect instead.
Hope that clears things up a little. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
