Hey, I found the split "Blue S" for imported transactions - and I have a suggestion - Why not show the blue S on every split on the receiving side - import or not. I think that would be great!

Thanks!

It is my understanding that Moneydance does show the blue 'S' on the receiving side of every split. The blue 'S' is not related to imported transactions, a blue 'i' is used to indicate that a transaction was imported.

My system don't show the blue S unless it also shows the blue I. That's
why I didn't know about it until recently, I never imported my visa
statement, because of the mis-definition on the bank's end of the OFX
file - it started showing up when I imported for the first time in that
    register.

    Bkeyport,

Could you send me a few screenshots of splits where the blue S isn't showing? This will be helpful to us as we work to diagnose the issue. Could you please also let me know the OS and versions of Java and Moneydance you are running (available under the Help->Console Window menu item).

here's the prime example of it failing.

I believe I see what is happening here.

The 'S' that is rendered on a transaction that is part of a split is rendered in the description field of that transaction.

The screenshot you show of the transaction register is from a loan account. Loan account do not have description fields and so the 'S' cannot be seen.

On all other account types of accounts you will see the 'S' because the description field is present.

ahh, yeah, I see that now, further experimentation shows the S as you state, so more inequality on loan accounts... PLEASE redo them so they function the same as others.

    Thanks!
