<p>In the transaction register click in the word "Date" in the grey
column header above the column of dates. A small black triangle
will appear in that column header. Clicking the column header again
changes whether the triangle points up or down and sorts the
transactions by that column. When the triangle points up the newest
transaction is first and when down the oldest transactions is
first.</p>

do<br>
what you suggest, it sorts by date of transaction.</p></div>marcialintontag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/1581872009-05-11T17:53:24Z2009-05-11T17:53:24ZHow do I sort data by transaction date or date order entered?<div><p>Hi</p>
<p>Moneydance does store the date a transaction was entered. You
can see this by right clicking on a transaction and selecting "Show
Transaction Details". Near the top of the XML is a DTENTERED tag.
However the program does not include a feature to display this
information in the transaction register nor does it have a feature
to sort by this field.</p>
<p>I'm sorry if that is inconvenient.</p>
<p>Sincerely</p>

to<br>
discover data entry errors. Thanks for your response!</p></div>marcialintontag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/1581872009-05-13T01:34:50Z2009-05-13T01:34:50ZHow do I sort data by transaction date or date order entered?<div><p>I concur with this suggestion. It is not something you would do
every day, but it is a great "debugging" tool, as
<strong>marcialinton</strong> states.</p></div>Vgertag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/1581872009-05-13T19:27:49Z2009-05-13T19:27:49ZHow do I sort data by transaction date or date order entered?<div><p>I'm terribly sorry for the misinformation. It is absolutely
possible to sort transaction by the date entered. It is
accomplished in a different way than sorting by data as the date
entered is not displayed in a column in the transaction
register.</p>
<p>Select the transactions you want to sort. (To select multiple
transactions select the first one then press shift when you select
the last one).</p>
<p>Right click on one of the select transaction and select "Sort
By"->"Date Entered"</p>
<p>Sincerely</p>
