When I am confirming/merging downloaded transactions, I would like to see the check number included with both the Current Transaction and Merge Choices. It is very difficult to match up checks if I have written the same amount to different people.

There is an existing suggestion ticket proposing this addition. I have attached the ticket to this discussion such that your post counts as a vote for it.

    Vote ....

I also suggested that mousing over a merge should hilight the transaction journal entry which would be equally acceptable without stuffing more data into the merge window :)

I agree -- this is the only instance in which I've seen the it get things wrong, and having that check number displayed would let me match it up correctly, without having to visit my bank's website to see which check cleared.

The highlight of the transaction would also be an acceptable (and probably even better) alternative, as then I can see exactly which transaction will be merged. Likewise for "Similar Payees".

This is one of the very few things that Quicken does better (although its matching algorithm is much worse, so I guess it was more important for them to aid in verifying matches).
