If you were web-based, I'd be using you in a heartbeat over Mint.

I imagine we will have a web based app at some point. At the moment we are focused on making the desktop app as good as it can be.

But please don't ever eliminate the desktop version!

That makes sense, but have you ever done a survey or anything about a web
based app? For me, it's important that I can access my info from anywhere...
home, work, my phone, etc... a desktop app won't really work since I'm
    rarely in one place...

I'd be curious to see what other people's thoughts were if you did some sort
    of marketing survey...

    Hi Beth,
Have you considered using Dropbox as a place to keep your data file? This way you can access it from any computer you have dropbox installed on and it is integrated into your filesystems. The limit would be that you can't use it on random computers that don't have dropbox.

That's not a bad idea, but I'm looking for something more straighforward and
simple. If I could go to your website, access my account, and be able to do
that from anywhere, it'd be a gamechanger for me.

    Hi,

I would love to be able to check on my balances and also input transactions just like I can on my Ipod Touch but on my Blackberry.... Trying to move to using just one device and I guess a blackberry app probably isn't around the corner ???? :-)

    Jon,
Sorry, we don't currently have any plans for a Blackberry app.

I think you're going to have a hard time creating a following with limited technology for users.

I just hope you can come up with some sort of web based app or something that will enable me to just enter transactions and be able to keep a track of my balance. Really can't that be hard to do can it ???? just everything you have for the iphone/ipod touch just available for everybody :-)

A web-based solution is great, but I use Moneydance specifically because it does so much more than just track balances. If that's all I needed I suppose I'd just use Mint.com.

Moneydance + Dropbox works ideally across four computers for me. I'm not saying don't create a web-based app, but just don't eliminate the desktop app.
