Keeping selected stocks off the update list
Is there any way to limit stock quote updates to stocks that are currently owned? I have many stocks that were bought and then sold. I don't need to update them, and there are so many that my daily updates take more than 10 minutes. (I have a slow satellite internet connection.) There ought to be an easy way to avoid updating stocks with zero shares.

I've never tried this, but try going into the "Edit Securities" window and removing the ticker symbol for any stock that you no longer own. I think the update process depends on the ticker symbol, so if you take it out, it should stop updating that stock.

Kind of a pain to do that for dozens of stocks. And Moneydance doesn't support AppleScript, so I cannot automate that process.

I have moved this to the suggestions category (that we implement the ability to toggle on/off price updating for specific securities).

I have created a Trac issue for this: http://moneydance.com/trac/ticket/1878
Please vote on it if it is an issue that concerns you.
