When selecting the security, the pop-up list always starts at
the first security - when the security list is extensive, scrolling
down the list becomes tedious.

Would it be possible:
1. for the pop-up list to start at the last selected security?
2. to allow security selection by typing (as in the transaction
register)?

Thanks

macalves1tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/380553872015-09-29T14:53:36Z2015-09-29T14:53:36ZSecurities detail pop-up list

I second this suggestion. I have an account (wealthfront) that
buys a lot of individual securities so it can do tax loss
harvesting (rather than buying index ETFs). It would be much faster
if I could type the security to get to that one.

harryfrankstag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/380553872015-09-29T17:59:32Z2015-09-29T17:59:32ZSecurities detail pop-up list

In the security field type in the first few letters of the
security name and the pop-up list should narrow.

account (i.e., searching for a security to allocate lots). There is
no way that I'm aware of to get to a security except scroll through
the entire list. If you are in a transaction register you can use
the search field at the top or on a new transaction you can start
typing the name of the security, but in the securities detail view
you can do neither. The search box is shown but if you type in the
search box it takes you back to the register view.

harryfrankstag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/380553872015-09-30T21:35:02Z2015-09-30T21:35:02ZSecurities detail pop-up list

I'm sorry I misunderstood.

If you start in the portfolio view and click on a security it
opens to the security details window for that particular security.
i find this the easiest way to get to a particular security rather
than scrolling through the securities detail window

security, you then need to scroll through the list, or go back to
the Portfolio view and repeat the procedure...

I believe the initial suggestion in this discussion is still
worth some attention by the programming team.

feature in the securities detail window.

I'm very sorry the feature has not yet been implemented, I have updated the suggestion ticket, but I am not sure when it will be considered.
