Budget entry
I am a recent convert from Quicken and in general I have found MoneyDance to be an excellent replacement affording some good advantages, however I have a large number of budgets to enter where the amount is different for each month of the year.
As far as I can see, I have to create 12 separate entries just to complete one budget category for the year which is somewhat daunting.
Please, please can we have a budget entry option in the mode of Quicken where 12 entry boxes, one for each month, are presented on the screen for the user to populate.
Thanks
John (fingers firmly crossed)

John,
Updating the budget features of Moneydance is definitely on the top of MY personal wish list, and something we're very interested in doing. That said, our current focus is on the upcoming update to the iOS app, and the budgeting changes aren't going to happen immediately. While I don't want to discourage you from using our program, I also encourage you to be sure you're satisfied with the program as it is now, not as you hope it will be when we implement this feature. That said, I have attached the feature request ticket for the new budgeting system to this thread. By posting in this discussion your interest in the ticket has been registered. This is equivalent to voting for it, and you'll automatically be notified when we have updates.
Thanks for trying Moneydance, and please let me know if I can be of further assistance,
Angie Rauscher

Good to hear this is in the pipeline.
The strength of the Quicken budgeting (I used 2000 for windows and have just transferred to a mac) is the ability to input a full year on one sheet giving full visibility. It is also very quick in comparison to moneydance.
I'd appreciate being kept informed regarding developments in the budgeting process.
Regards,
Ian
