How to make it easier

I love your product, but I have two suggestions to make MoneyDance Better.

When confirming transactions, I wish transactions that were already confirmed (e.g previously confirmed ATM Transactions that happen to have the same amount) were not included in the list of "merge"-able transactions.

In register view, I wish sorting by date (not by order entered) would sort credits before debits within the same date. This way, payments would not suggest a negative balance when recorded in advance of a deposit.

Please.

    Hi Kerry,

Regarding the sort order. If you select Sort By > Date / Amount, the register should behave as you described.

That does help. Wish there was a way to make that the default ;)

I've just downloaded the latest version and imported my Quicken data. It has duplicated hundreds of entries, so I am trying to sort the Register to find and remove them.

Moneydance does NOT sort those in amount order. I have tried just amount, I have tried Date/Amount. The sort does NOT work.

I read in a query from 2011 that this was because it sorts by the change in value, and many of these do not have a change in value for the final register balance; they are transfers between investment accounts. The response on that was that Ben created a bug ticket.
