Is it possible to include a checkbox option that allows me to skip the first line or better, to skip the lines i defined in the "Text-File Importer" extension?
See Attachment for a example.
Thanks..

Jason

    Hi Jason,

Within the text file importer, and the window you have attached in your screenshot - you can select the option 'ignore' for the field, which is essentially the same as skipping. It is the bottom option on the drop down list.

Please try this, and let me know if it does not provide the information you require.

Sorry, I think there is a misunderstanding.
Yes, you are right, I can ignore a column in that screen, but I can not ignore lines.
I would like to ignore lines, for example: just the fist line or the fist 10 lines or what ever I put in the numeric box..

    Thank You

    Hi Jason,

Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for explaining. I now understand the feature you require.

Thanks for the suggestion for improving Moneydance! I've filed a ticket in our ticketing system with your suggestion, so the developers will be looking into it.

Can you let me know the reason you wish to skip these transactions? Is this data being imported from your financial institution?

    Hi Jenny,

thanks.. yes, they are csv files from my financial institutions.
They don't support standard online banking protocols, so I rely on them very much.
This is needed as two of my banks put header and other stuff I currently need to remove manually before I import with the Text File Import extension.

    Thanks,
    Jason

    Hi Jason,

Currently, I would suggest manually amending the file before importing into Moneydance, as you have been doing. I can understand your frustrations doing this each time you need to import data.

As the suggestion ticket is attached to the discussion, we will notify you of any updates.

I would also suggest contacting your bank and letting them know of the issues you are encountering. They may be able to advise the reasons for including this extra information with your transactions, and they can take note of your suggestion to exclude this data from your download.
