implement cross-account autocompletion
It would be great if autocompletion was remembered across accounts. As of now, if I switch banks or credit cards I have to reenter all this saved info. It is a huge waste of time.

Hi bb,
This issue has been discussed here on these forums at length.
There are arguments for both global auto-complete and account-specific auto-complete.
The obvious solution is to make it a user-defined option.

Any update on this? I remember in the Slack channel hearing that this would be a trivial change if I would just add it to the feature suggestions.

Hi,
We have an open suggestion ticket regarding having autocompletion function across all accounts within a Moneydance data set. I've attached it to this discussion and the developers will be looking into it. I'm unable to supply a timescale for the implementation of this suggestion but you will be notified via this thread if the change is made in Moneydance.

For some time now, and unfortunately, global auto-complete has been implemented into MD 2017 without offering it as a user-defined option.
I find it entirely unhelpful when entering an item into my investment account to have auto-complete offer items from my checking account.
Without the user-defined option, this is a huge step backwards.

Do you know what version it started with? I have version 2017.7.1 and I don't have it.

When finding autocompletion matches, allow matches from other accounts if no similar transactions were found in the current account.
It's the sixth change listed in the blog.
