I am a former accountant. I used Quicken for 25 years. I click on "New Transaction" and I see no place to enter it. I created an account and entered the starting balance.

Hi John,
Clicking the 'New Transaction' button should create a new transaction in Edit mode at the bottom of the register. Can you confirm that this is not happening?

I do not see a register, once I know how to open that I'll feel better.
