    Hi,

Sorry for the wait. Des is right, our forums do not include a live chat system, and therefore responses from the support team wont be immediate.

Absolutely you can run Moneydance offline, it does not require an internet connection to function. Of course you won't be able to download new transactions or stock prices while you are not connected to the internet but other than that the software works just as it would if you were online.
Your data is only stored where you put it - on your computer, a separate hard drive, in Dropbox or another cloud-accessible server, even on a thumb drive.

If you haven't already, I encourage you to download our free trial version and experiment with the program before you decide if you would like to purchase it. The demo version is fully functional and allows you to manually enter 100 transactions. Imported transactions are not limited, so you'll be able to fully test connections with your bank.

If you decide to purchase the program at a later date you can keep all your data, the license key simply unlocks the ability to manually enter more transactions. You can download the trial version of Moneydance from here - http://infinitekind.com/downloads

I hope this information is helpful, please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

if I have a problem i usually need about 5 minutes of interactions. A forum can’t work. Also a free trial is nice, but I still have to transfer all my data. That usually means help. How do you handle these problems?

    Hello,

What program are you moving from? We have detailed instructions on importing from some of the most popular programs at http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/importing-data-from-banks-and-other...

While we do not offer instant support, we will be able to help you best via this method if you are specific about where you are running into problems.
