Downloading from Quicken
I am trying Moneydance & wish to transfer from Quicken Deluxe 7.
I have a number of files set out in financial year date from1998..
I have been able to transfer all the files into Moneydance in name, but have only been able to enter transaction into 4 of the files.
I now find that which ever file I try to export (or import), the same file ( year 2011-2012) always moves.
It does not matter which year I try to transfer, or which year I try to transfer into, year 11-12 is the year that always is transferred.

Hello,
That sounds quite strange. Can you please confirm that you are following the instructions on importing from Quicken available at http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/importing-from-quicken-or-ms-money/...?

Ethan, I have tried & tried, both to export or to import but the file
details for year 2011-12 are always the file transferred.
The account at the top of my new list is year 98-99 but whatever I do Year
11-12 is the file transferred into this or any other account.
The file 11-12 from Quicken has already transferred into Moneydance OK in
the correct place. Years 12-13, 13-14 & 15-16 have also transferred OK.
My Quicken is "Quicken Deluxe Version 7 from 1998. Should this still be
able to work on Moneydance.

I forgot to ask should I still be able to transfer all the files at once
with my version of Quicken. This option did not seem available when I first
started trying to set up my system.

Hi Keith,
There are a variety of quirks and limitations with QIF files, so since you're using an older version of Quicken, then you may be encountering those.
In general, we recommend exporting all your data to a QIF file (rather than selecting individual accounts or date ranges) and importing that into Moneydance with these instructions:
