I am looking at switching from Quicken to Moneydance and I would like to know if Moneydance has the ability to save scanned or downloaded receipts to attach to a record of payment in the register. I can adjust if it doesn't but I need to know before I transfer data to the new program.

    Hi Rick,

Yes, you can attach image files (PDF, JPG, and other image files) to transactions. You can read about how to do this on Page 28 of the User Guide.

If you haven't already, I encourage you to download our free trial version and experiment with the program before you decide if you would like to purchase it. The demo version is fully functional and allows you to manually enter 100 transactions. Imported transactions are not limited, so you'll be able to fully test importing your data.

If you decide to purchase the program at a later date you can keep all your data, the license key simply unlocks the ability to manually enter more transactions. You can download the trial version of Moneydance from here.

You may also be interested in this article, which details how to export your data from Quicken and import to MD.
