Quicken Essentials
I am trying to migrate my data from Quicken Essentials. From the welcome screen when I choose "Migrate from Quicken Essentials: and go to the folder where my quickendata file is, the quickendata file appears greyed out and I am unable to select it. Please help.
I am using Moneydance 2014 because I am still on OS X10.6.8 and have no plans to migrate to any other versions.

You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac

I'm terribly sorry for our delayed response! Somehow your inquiry slipped through the cracks.
Can you try drag and dropping your Quicken Essentials data file onto the Moneydance window and see if you can open it then?
