JVM is about Java. You probably don't have a "java something" installed. Not sure what, but I do think Moneydance uses Jave files to run. You may need to figure out what you are missing "Java-wise" to make it all work.
Good luck.

I'm a fellow user.
For quite some years Moneydance has come bundled with its own instance of Java. This sort of error could indicate that Moneydance did not install correctly. I would tend to uninstall Moneydance, re-download the software then attempt the installation again.

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi Shannon
Moneydance runs on an embedded version of Java, its part of the Moneydance install. You don't need to install a separate version of java.
For support to help they will need to know your computer operating system and if it is 32bit or 64 bit. Also, what version and build of Moneydance did you install, e.g. 2019.4(1892) and was it downloaded from this site? Note: the latest version of java from oracle no longer supports 32 and Moneydance 2019 uses the latest’s version.
It may be worth uninstalling Moneydance downloading a new copy from
https://infinitekind.com/download-moneydance-personal-finance-software
and reinstalling to see if you get the same result.
I see dwg have provided the same info, but I will hit comment button anyway as confirmation.
Hope this helps.
