Hi, I'm really impressed with MoneyDance (20yr Reckon user w/ >50k transactions) but I'm quite frustrated with the level of link rot I'm finding in your Knowledgebase. Do you have a link-maintenance program and a 404 harvesting routine?

My fail count would be way over 10 by now, and extremely frustrating, reflecting on the professionalism at IK. For instance, I referenced this doc and clickeed on the link in this sentence.

This is an archived document. Please refer to the more recent knowledge base articles on this page

It seems like the KB in general should have a LOT less link rot.

I tend to agree. I found two bad links on the site and reported them (Vicissitudes thread), and when I sent a private message, the response was to check a link called "Moneydance 2011 Userguide".

it actually worked, but you'd think a response email would point to something more recent.

    Hi Tony,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

We previously made a security change so the knowledge base articles were updated from http to https. It seems that many of the links still point towards the older URL.

We've just updated the link in the archived documents, and we'll be working through the knowledge base over the next few days to ensure the other links are working.

    Thanks Jenny.
    I found in Suggestion #9775
    two links that pointed to
which both resulted - naturally enough - in 404 errors
and I was able to manually resolve them by substituting into the URL, but it seems like here is more - but different - fodder for your KB curator(s).
