Hi Anthony,
Have you already exported your Quicken data to a QIF file? You have to do that before being able to import it into Moneydance.
Once you've done that, you can follow these instructions:

Hi Scott, realized afterwards that's what I had to do. Did it account by
account (missed the all accounts entry) re did it with all accounts and
data was imported but the account names and totals are all out of whack.
I'll have another look tomorrow with fresh eyes and if needed I'll get in
touch. Thanks for replying
Anthony

Hi Scott, I have cleaned quicken and only kept the data that I want to
import, but alas when I do it it import accounts, balances and dates that
are not correct, some aren't imported at all.
Any advice?
Anthony

For the date issue check that the format that is in the QIF file matches the import option chosen in Moneydance, the format you have chosen in Quicken itself is not relevant.
Balance issues are often caused by there being no initial balance in the QIF file. If there is no initial balance you can use the option in the Account screen in Moneydance to set one.

Thanks for the advice, that is really too technical for me. I may have to
start from scratch. In quicken I can get a report like...how much have I
spent on or to, but I can't find a corresponding item
in Moneydance though I've looked high & low. What am I missing?
