The trial limit of 100 transactions only applies to manually entered transactions. So transactions that you may download from a bank or import from a QIF file obtained from other software does not count towards this limit.

For example I performed a complete migration from another Financial software program while still in trial mode.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/485454792020-08-12T22:27:46Z2020-08-12T22:27:47Zcan you download the first free 100 transactions from a bank account

ah - but I don't have anything to import, not a quicken or other user.
Pretty much all bank's world wide allow you to download transaction files from their Internet Banking sites which you can import into Moneydance, formats like OFX, QFX, QIF and even some CSV files, OFX/QFX files being preferred if available.

So if you install Moneydance it will be in trial mode, you can look at the bank's site and see what they offer for download, download some transaction files and try importing these. You do not need to buy Moneydance to do this.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/485454792020-08-12T22:42:50Z2020-08-12T22:42:50Zcan you download the first free 100 transactions from a bank account

Thank you!!

Catherine Mohintag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/485454792020-08-12T22:50:08Z2020-08-12T22:50:09Zcan you download the first free 100 transactions from a bank account

one last question - can you import from credit card accounts?
Short answer: Yes.

Banks basically treat credit cards as the opposite of checking, but still support all the same types of files that can be imported to MD.

dtd
