If you haven't already, I encourage you to download our free
trial version and experiment with the program before you decide if
you would like to purchase it. The demo version is fully functional
and allows you to manually enter 100 transactions. Imported
transactions are not limited, so you'll be able to fully test
importing your data form MS Money, and test syncing with your
iPad.

If you'd like to export your data from MS Money, you can follow
the steps in
this article. If you're moving to a new computer, then between
steps 6 and 7, you'll need to move your exported data to Dropbox or
USB (or whatever your method is for sharing your data between the
systems). Move the data to the new computer. Then continue from
step 7 onwards to import your data.

If you decide to purchase the program at a later date you can
keep all your data, the license key simply unlocks the ability to
manually enter more transactions. You can download the trial
version of Moneydance from here:
http://infinitekind.com/downloads

Moneydance will run equally as well on Windows and Mac. You can
share data between computers running MD, regardless of OS.

You can also share your data with a mobile device using Dropbox
by following
these steps. Currently, the mobile app is an add on to the main
desktop program, and only has very basic functions like viewing and
editing transactions. We are working to add more features and
functionality to the app.

You can download the trial on any system - if you're able to
setup your data successfully, then want to move to a new system,
you can simply move the entire data set, or share the data via
Dropbox so it can be accessed from multiple locations. I can
provide instruction and documentation for this if required.

Regarding your concerns, most customers are able to import their
data without many issues. That being said, the QIF file format was
never really intended for transferring all data between personal
finance software and as such it contains inherent ambiguities that
will need to be manually corrected post import. How much manual
correcting needs to be done is hard to predict. Typically
investment accounts fair worse that regular accounts in this
matter.

Moneydance supports Direct Connect which allows you to download
bank data automatically. You can view a list of banks that support
this feature here. I am
also based in the UK, and unfortunately I am not aware of any UK
banks that support Direct Connect. Without this, the best way to
get your files into Moneydance is to use a web browser to download
them from your bank's web site. You can download into QFX, OFX or
OFC files (aka Quicken or MS Money files), any of which will import
cleanly into Moneydance.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you
have any questions of if I can be of further assistance.
