Is it possible to import a Quicken file into Monydance

Yes. There is a link to a walk through at the top of this "Switching to MoneyDance" section, just above where you posted!

I've just done it.
If you have investment accounts:
1. Watch for duplicated entries Watch for duplicated entries (QIF fault not MoneyDance).
2. Import accounts (not entries), then check that the decimal places matches your Quicken (MoneyDance default is 4)
