I'm looking to switch away from Quicken.
Does MoneyDance allow me to import data from Quicken?

    just a user,

You might check this out. I think you have to export Quicken to QIF format

    I'm a fellow user.

Financial programs keep their data mostly in proprietary formats, it is necessary to use the program itself to export the raw transaction data into a more universal format, the preference is the QIF format. Most software can read and process data in this format and Moneydance is no exception in this regard.

QIF is not perfect so there can be problems but it is the best format that is readily available.
