Can I transfer one checking account transactions to another account?
QFX bites again. I imported my checking account from Qkn to $Dance. Problem it imported the wrong account title with the good checking transactions. How can I move those trx from the wrong account to the good one.
Importing from Qkn leaves a lot to be desired. That's Quickens fault. You have the same problem within Quicken.
How do I make batch changes to my checking trx? Moneydance puts the same account description in all checking trx. I can recode them if I can just blank out the erroneous ones.

Hi,
Are you able to export from Quicken in QIF format? If so, can you confirm that when importing your data, you followed the steps in this article. If your transactions have been assigned with the same category then you may need to import again and make sure you specify to Import into a new account rather than existing account. And you set the source to "From another program".
If transactions have been assigned to the wrong account, you can highlight the relevant transactions in the register (use shift to select multiple), then right click, select Batch Change --> Account, and choose the account to move the transactions. They'll move to the specified account without creating a transfer or transaction.
