When I click Moneydance in my list of applications, "New Quicken" comes up. Are they the same? If so, why isn't this mentioned on the Moneydance Web Site? If they're not the same, what's happening and how can I prevent it?

   Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

   I'm not confident I understand your question fully but I'll try to answer it as follow:

   Moneydance and Quicken are two different financial software. Are you running Quicken on your system, perhaps? If so, and you are encountering problems with this financial software, you should refer to Quicken support on their website: https://www.quicken.com/support/search/chat%20support

   As I've mentioned in my previous reply on this thread:

   We would encourage you to download our free trial version and experiment with the program. You can download the trial version of Moneydance from our website on this page.

   The trial version is fully functional and allows you to manually enter 100 transactions. Imported transactions are not limited, so you'll be able to fully test downloading data from your bank, and importing data from other personal finance software.
   If you decide to purchase the program at a later date you can keep all data you have entered during the trial period.

   You can find the Moneydance knowledge base here which will be useful if you're using the program for the first time. I'd be happy to provide guidance if you have any questions or need assistance getting setup.

   Hi—

   I have a Quicken app which I haven’t used in a long time. I was trying to get on to Moneydance and there’s no question about that. But I’m pretty sure I have whatever I was doing wrong straightened out now.. I will get rid of any quicken files and apps and go on from there. Thanks.
