Printing checks
It says I have no checks to print. Does that work in the paid version

I am testing Moneydance to replace Banktivity. It will not print a check. Says no checks to print. Will it work in the paid version?

Trial mode or paid for the function should work in either mode. You will need to outline what steps you have taken. It would also help to know the OS and version as well as the Moneydance build and version so we know the environment.

Ver 2022.2 on MacPro Monteray. I create a payment, fill everything in go
to menu and select Print check and nothing

In the Check# column are you selecting {Print} ?

Yes, the entire line of the transaction turns blue, Igo to the File Menu
and select Print Checks

It sounds like you have followed the right steps. It sounds like you may need a fellow Mac user to help you isolate the problem as I am not sure if it is a Moneydance problem or a more Mac specific issue.

I’ll continue to play with it. If I get it to print, I’ll gladly purchase it.

I'm a fellow user without any magical insights, but some problem-solving suggestions. . .
Are you selecting {print} from the Cheque No dropdown or entering it manually?
(Edit List "Show Print Cheque" option) Have you tried setting different transactions to {print} so that there are several?
Have you tried both future-dated and past-dated transactions to see if anything changes?
The row doesn't change colour on my MD for Windows 2021.2 (3095) but I'm not sure if that is of any significance.
You should expect to see a dialog similar to the attached. . .
