Edit split when confirming downloaded transactions
Making the switch from Quicken to Moneydance.
Downloaded transactions from my credit card. Went to "confirm" the transactions, but since the split amounts need to be adjusted, clicked on the split in the confirm box, entered the correct splits into the pop-up window. Then confirmed the transaction.
To my horror, I went back into one of the transactions that I had just confirmed and found that the split updates that I had entered were not saved and it was showing the original (wrong!) splits. I now have to go back into several dozen transactions and re-key all the splits.
What am i doing wrong? Do I have to confirm the downloaded transaction as-is then go back in and edit it (that just seems wrong and a waste)?

Hello,
Is it possible that you didn't save your transaction after entering in the splits? For example, just editing the splits in the split window (or editing any other field of the transaction) doesn't automatically save the changes, as you are still in the edit transaction mode, where the program is waiting for you to make further changes to this transaction. To save your transaction, you would either have to press the enter key while a field still waiting for entry in the transaction, or click off the transaction (at which point you should be prompted if you want to save is discard your changes). The confirmation window should then show the correct splits to confirm in the pop-up window.

When editing the splits when confirming transactions, there is no field waiting for entry and there are no pop-ups asking if you want to save.
