Hi Chris

Your old licence was valid for the version you purchased plus the next version is free and from then on you get a 50% discount. All upgrades within a version are free. For the versions your key covers they are never turned off when a new version it released. You can download old versions from https://infinitekind.com/previous-versions-of-moneydance

If you download a new version and the key is no longer valid Moneydance is a full working version with the only limit being a maximum of 100 manually entered transactions, with no time limit. Imported files from other financial programs and your bank have no limit on imports, provided that you do not confirm them. If you decided to purchase, you are sent a key by email that unlocks the 100-manual transaction limit. If after testing with this free trial version you purchase and change your mind see the 90 day money back guaranty at https://infinitekind.com/refunds

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/557095722022-09-12T18:13:18Z2022-09-12T18:13:18ZPrevious license

Cheers for that … I will give it due consideration. My needs revolve around working around the country (mainly Northern half these days) but having a mobile version with ability to sync easily counts a lot.

Hi Chris

My setup is 3 laptops, Windows 11, Windows 10 and Linux Feren all synced using Moneydance’s internal Sync engine using the Moneydance sync method Dropbox Folder. I also have the free Moneydance mobile app installed on 2 Android phones which sync with the laptops. The mobile app is a cut down version of Moneydance allowing you to add transactions on the go.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/557095722022-09-15T13:14:31Z2022-09-15T13:14:31ZPrevious license

Hi Chris,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

If you haven't already, I encourage you to download our free trial version and experiment with the latest version. You can download the trial version of Moneydance from our website on this page.

The trial version is fully functional and allows you to manually enter 100 transactions. Imported transactions are not limited, so you'll be able to fully test downloading data from your bank, and importing data from other personal finance software.
If you decide to purchase the program at a later date you can keep all data you have entered during the trial period.

Generally, you can find the Moneydance knowledge base here which will be useful if you're using the program for the first time.We would be happy to provide guidance if you have any questions or need assistance getting setup.

Finally, for further information about syncing with other devices, please refer to these articles:
