<p>There's a couple of different ways to import QIF files,
depending on the personal finance software you're using. The
easiest method is in <a href="http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/importing-data-from-banks-and-other-programs/importing-data-from-quicken-in-qif-format">
this article</a> and details importing a single QIF that includes
all your data.<br>
If you have accounts in more than one currency, then you should
refer to the steps at the bottom of <a href="http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/importing-data-from-banks-and-other-programs/how-can-i-transfer-my-data-from-quicken-into-moneydance">
this article</a>, which details exporting multiple QIF files, one
for each account.<br>
You'll also find instructions <a href="http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/importing-data-from-banks-and-other-programs/moving-from-ms-money-to-moneydance">
here</a> for importing a Loose QIF from MS Money which may be
useful.</p>
<p>Can you provide some more information about the issues with the
data after import? <a href="http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/importing-data-from-banks-and-other-programs/possible-problems-after-qif-import-from-quicken">
This article</a> details the most common issues and how to resolve.
For example, if your data is displayed correctly but the balance is
incorrect, then you may need to set an 'Initial Balance' on the
account - Some QIF files include this initial balance transfer some
don't it depends on the software you've been using. You can set
this within Moneydance, Account --> Edit Account.</p>
<p>Most customers are able to import their data without issues.
That being said, the QIF file format was never really intended for
transferring all data between personal finance software and as such
it may contain inherent ambiguities that will need to be manually
corrected post import. How much manual correcting needs to be done
is hard to predict. I'm afraid that typically investment accounts
fair worse that regular accounts in this matter.</p>
<p>I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you
need further assistance getting your data imported correctly.</p>
