Moving from Quicken to Moneydance. Balance is wrong
I am moving from Quicken to Moneydance. I exported all of my Quicken accounts to an qif file, imported them into Moneydance, and the balances are wrong. Why? If I have a $1000 balance in Quicken, I should have $1000 in Moneydance.
Thanks
Daryl

Quicken often does not include the opening balance of an account in the exported QIF file - when you start using financial software you usually have existing accounts with a balance in them that you enter into the software, this is the balance that Quicken does not export.
Checking what this figure is and entering it into the Account information page (menu item Account -> Edit Account) often resolves the problem.
