negative start balances when budgeting

Have been using another finance system (YNAB) which will not directly transfer to moneydance. Some of the budget parts have negative balances - how can I show that on the budget? This is not the same as the account balance.
YNAB - I can only transfer the transactions.

Hi Jan,
Moneydance doesn't support negative budget values. Can I ask what you're trying to accomplish? Maybe there's a different way to do it in Moneydance.

Hi - one instance is that I allow so much per month for spending money, but the month before starting moneydance this was overspent by £20. I would like the account to reflect this at the start of using the program.
