Hi Donald,
If you are importing your Credit Card data, you can click on the 'Balance' in the lower right-hand corner of the register for a number of different balances - including the 'Available Balance'.

The Enhances Credit Card Extension used to give this info on the summary page however this extension appears to have disappeared.

When downloading from your credit card company, this information is provided in the download. Other than that there is no current way for MD to track your available balance.

If you install the Debts Insights extension (Extensions --> Manage Extensions)
The set the summary page to display the Enhanced Credit card item rather than the standard Credit Card, and assuming you have entered your credit limit into the account setup the summary page will be able to show your Available credit, current balance etc.

Hi Des,
Hmm, I'm not getting an 'Available Balance' column.

Hi Kevin,
I'm not in front of the test machine right now but if I recall correctly if you select the double arrows next to where it says "Credit Limit" a dialog box should appear in which you can select what the column should display, I think there are 5 or 6 items there.

Hi Des,
You are correct Sir. :)

The grey cells haven't completely disappeared yet then :)
I thought my display had three columns on it though, I will have to check this out when I can get to that machine.

Hi Des,
The 'Available Credit' column really only works with MD 2015 correct?

Kevin,
There is a version of the extension that I know works on MD2012 & MD2014 and it does show available credit on MD2012
I do not know if it would work on earlier versions.

Hi Des,
I was toying around with Debt Insights v.7 using MD 2012 last night and couldn't figure out where it would glean the 'Credit Limit' so as to calculate the 'Available Credit'.
I see now that it adds a 'Debt Accounts' item to the 'Extensions' menu providing the means to add the 'Credit Limit'.
That's what I get for staying up past my bedtime. :)

Hi Kevin,
I recall Sean saying he added some of the core information that was in the extension into the main program in MD2015.

Hi Des,
I see what you mean. The 'Credit Limit' field and the 'Payment Plan' selector is right out of the Debt Insights Edit Account form
I'm not sure how it comes across on other systems, but in Windows, the fonts and the weight of the fonts used in Debt Insights appear to be those from the earlier versions of Moneydance (they fit right in on the Home Page) The difference is stark on the Summary Page compared with those fonts native to MD 2015.

Hi Kevin,
I made a comment in a discussion about the extension that the fonts on the summary page are not consistent between all the blocks of text, it is not a good look IMO.

Hi Des,
Agreed, IMO TIK should have stuck with the font / weight used in prior versions.
