importing quicken files
friends,
i left Quicken 2016 for Moneydance after many years because my file became corrupted and their support team could not solve the problem. Can MoneyDance import a past Quicken backup file?
thanks,

Hi Dan,
To migrate to Moneydance you have to use Quicken to export a QIF file which contains all your basic transaction information. I believe Quicken backups are QDF files which are Quicken data files that can only be read and used by Intuit products. Unfortunately, a backup file from Quicken will not import.
If you still have access to your Quicken software and are able to export your data in QIF format, you can follow the steps in this article to import your data. If this is something you would like to attempt, I can provide assistance during this process.
I hope this information is useful, please let me know if I can assist further.
