Re: Better option than Quicken...
Hi:
I'm looking for an alliterative to Quicken which, in Retirement, no longer suits my needs (Wages, Invoicing etc). My question is.. What is the best way to present my Accounts to the Accountant at Tax Time.
With Quicken we authorised Accountant to access our Quicken online Hosting account. Can we do the same with MoneyDance ??
Regards... Peter

Moneydance does not host data online, all data is on your local computer, much better for security, if data is synced between different machines/users, it is end to end encrypted. This though is probably of little interest and overkill for your accountant.
You are probably more interested in various reports saved in PDF, HTML or CSV format (suitable for spreadsheet programs).
Reports like the Income and Expense, Income Expense Detailed reports, Transactions and Transactions Filter reports are probably the most useful.

Hi Peter,
I can see you’ve received a reply from one of our knowledgeable Moneydance customers. To add to this useful information, if you haven't already, you could download our free trial version and experiment with the program.
You can download the trial version of Moneydance from our website on this page.
The trial version is fully functional and allows you to manually enter 100 transactions. Imported transactions are not limited, so you'll be able to fully test downloading data from your bank, and importing data from other personal finance software.
If you decide to purchase the program at a later date you can keep all data you have entered during the trial period.
You can find the Moneydance knowledge base here which will be useful if you're using the program for the first time.
We would be happy to provide guidance if you have any questions or need assistance getting setup.
