To answer your question directly, the answer is "yes"...
I'm "just a user", so don't represent MD/IK when I say I personally recommend what I did, which is purchase the standalone MD for $65 (good for two years, but you don't have to upgrade if you don't wish to, until you do wish to do so), then decide on whether you want MD+ (optional subscription) at $40/year.

In order to choose a suitable purchase option, you should first establish if you require Moneydance + or not.
Currently, Moneydance supports automatic downloads using Direct Connect (mainly in the US) or Moneydance + (US and Canada).
If your banks support the OFX service for instance, you probably don't need a subscription. So, you can choose Buy Once here to purchase a license. A license key will be sent to you within 24 hrs.
If some of your banks don't support Direct Connect, then you can consider subscribing to Moneydance +.
After registering Moneydance 2024 using your license key, you can subscribe to Moneydance + (at $4 monthly or $40 yearly).
