IGG customer support has fried my iBank document such as the app cannot open. Is there any way to convert their document without the app into something that can be imported into Moneydance?

No, I am afraid the only way to get iBank data into Moneydance is to first open the data with iBank and then export to a QIF file. The QIF file can then be imported into Moneydance. Even then users tend not to have very much success as the QIF files that iBank produces differ in a number of unfortunate ways form the QIF files that Quicken produces. This generally means that even if you could open your data with iBank a transfer to Moneydance is not guaranteed to be successful.
