I purchased Moneydance and I am trying to load a quicken qxf file in. It's not highlighted as a choice when I try to download from beginning. Now I am on the Moneydance app and I don't see anywhere to download. Is this an app or a program that houses on my laptop. I'm so confused.

Moneydance is a program on your laptop. Have you been able to successfully download, install, and open it? If not, where do you appear to be running into trouble?

Moneydance cannot read the native Quicken QXF file format. You will first need to export your data into the QIF format from Quicken. Detailed instructions on moving from Quicken can be found at http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/importing-from-quicken-or-ms-money/...

In case you haven't found it yet, our full user guide can be downloaded from http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/user-guides

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

    Hello,

There is either an import option from the Welcome Screen, or if you are already past that, you can go to File -> Import from the Moneydance menu bar at the top of your screen.

If you don't see either of those options, can you please attach a screenshot of your entire desktop display so I can see what you are seeing when you run the program? If you're not sure how to take a screenshot, please see http://take-a-screenshot.org/

    Hello,

Look to the very top of your screen, where you see the apple logo, Moneydance, File, Edit...etc. This is called the "menu bar" in programs. On Macs, it is always at the top of the screen, and the options are for whatever program is currently active on the top of all the others. From here, you can go to File -> Import to select your QIF file and follow the rest of the instructions in the link I gave.

Okay...just looked at my screenshot. Feel silly now I see the menu. This doesn't solve the problem though of not being able to export to QIF file from Quicken2016.

I'm glad to hear we at least have that part sorted out. What version of Quicken are you using? Most should have QIF as an export option. Are you by chance using Quicken 2015 or 2016 for a Mac? If so, try following these instructions http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/importing-data-from-banks-and-other...
