can't move files over

I am using quicken 2016 -- haven't been able to reconcile my account in months. I looked online and decided to purchase money dance, so I did. is this a program on my computer or an app? Also, it says I can only import a .qif folder and Quicken will only allow me to export to a .qxf folder which money dance does not recognize. Please advise asap.
