Does this software allow you to download transactions directly from the bank?

    Hi Derek,

The answer is yes but Moneydance uses direct-connect and only certain financial institutions provide direct-connect connections.

Here is a link to the financial institutions that currently support direct-connect:
    http://infinitekind.com/fi

Be sure to read the paragraph at the top of the page.

If by chance your financial institution is not listed. Moneydance can manually import OFX, OFC, QFX and QIF file formats. It can also import CSV file formats into Bank and Credit Card accounts through the use of an extension.

Moneydance does support direct connect for the downloading of transactions.

The real question is does your bank provide download support using the standards based OFX protocol.

The list of financial institutions known to support this and that Moneydance has connection details for is located at:

    Hi sunnyjim41,

Support will likely need more information.
    Bank name.
    Error message (if any)
Steps you've taken to attempt the connection.

Have you contacted your financial institution to activate direct-connect?
If not, take a look at this KB article before doing so.
