My income is restricted to Social
Security, rent from a granny apartment, and very occasional
freelance writing work. I have no significant investstment income.
All I need really is a way of categorizing transactions as
tax-deductible or not, so that filing with the IRS is "one-step."
The question therefore is: Does this product facilitate doing so?
Or, like almost all other such programs, does it require going
through hoops more appropriate for a multinational corporation than
a private individual?</p></div>Roger Downeytag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/374313932015-07-21T13:16:38Z2015-07-21T13:16:38ZSupport for tax-filing<div><p>Hello,</p>
<p>If you want to classify individual transactions (as opposed to
entire categories of transactions), you could use the tag function
for this. You could for example tag all those transactions with
something like "deductible," and then use a report like the
Transaction Filter to show only transactions with that tag in a
specific date range.</p>

program, but once I familiarize myself with it I’ll be able
to put your advice to proper use.</p>

<p>I'm glad to be of help. If you haven't already, I encourage you
to download our free trial version from <a href="http://infinitekind.com/downloads">http://infinitekind.com/downloads</a>
and experiment with the program before you decide if you would like
to purchase it. The demo version is fully functional and allows you
to manually enter 100 transactions. Imported transactions are not
limited, so you'll be able to fully test things like importing from
other programs and connections with your bank. If you decide to
purchase the program at a later date you can keep all your data,
the license key simply unlocks the ability to manually enter more
transactions.</p>
