Two mac's and manually share updated data input
Hi, been a quicken 2005 mac user. I am ready to change. I have OS 10.9, and i am not willing to go to 10.10 because of conflicts with software I presently use. Does Moneydance work on 10.9 ?
My wife and I want the program on both of our computers, and then be able to share manually imputed data entries via flash drives or even dropbox, ie; I enter the data, download the updated moneydance file to a flash drive, she imports it into her existing moneydance file and all the new entries are now also on her computer. Are there any issues with this scenario ? Any other considerations or recommendations ?

Hello,
Yes, Moneydance will work on OSX 10.9.
What you describe should work. The best way to do this would be to copy your yourfilename.moneydance data set itself to the other computer, and replace the older version of your data with that. You can then use the open other option from the Moneydance welcome screen or the menu bar (File -> Open -> Open Other) to select your yourfilename.moneydance data set. The use of the import or export functions should not be necessary, and will only lead to complications.
If you are sharing your data file between two computers via Dropbox, this will also work, but it is important to only have Moneydance open on one of your computers at a time. Otherwise, you will run the risk of one of your computers overwriting the data that the other one is trying to make at the same time. You should get in the habit of completely closing the program when you are not actively using it.
I encourage you to download our free trial version from http://infinitekind.com/downloads and experiment with the program before you decide if you would like to purchase it. The demo version is fully functional and allows you to manually enter 100 transactions. Imported transactions are not limited, so you'll be able to fully test things like importing from other programs and connections with your bank. If you decide to purchase the program at a later date you can keep all your data, the license key simply unlocks the ability to manually enter more transactions.
