Quicken 2016 v. 3.5.1
Can I export from Quicken 2016 to Moneydance? Only 3 bank accounts. I've tried all the instructions I can find on this knowledge base but have only been successful importing the account names. None of the transaction data will transfer.

Hi Jesse,
Have you followed the steps in this article to import your data? Migrating from more recent versions of Quicken has a slightly different procedure to older versions, and has some additional steps.
If you have already tried the method detailed in the article, please let me know and we can investigate further.

Ian
I did find these and followed the steps. The accounts get imported but none of the transactions.

Hi Jesse,
Can you confirm that when importing your data that you didn't have 'Import Account Info Only' option selected? This option can be seen in the screenshots in this article (at the bottom of the 'Import QIF File' window). Having this selected will mean that only the account details are imported and not the transactions.
If you have tried to import without this selected, please let me know and we can investigate further. It would useful to know the steps you have followed and at what point you have encountered issues.

Ian
That was it. I have them imported now.
Next question, is there a multi-user version?

If you mean by multi-user that multiple people can be simultaneously working on the one data set then no this is not possible and is probably unlikely to ever be so given that Moneydance runs on three different platforms and there is no lock mechanism that can truly work on all three platforms.
You can however have shared access using something like dropbox to store the data sets with each user accessing the data set at different times i.e. no simultaneous access.
Infinite Kind have been working on desktop synchronization for a while, so it may be possible in a future version for data changes to be passed between systems with each system having a separate copy of the dataset. If and when this would happen would be speculation and crystal ball gazing. This is about as close as you would get to multi-user in personal computing software without it being client/server software.
In a household you can install Moneydance on as many machines as you want for the cost of one license, so each user can have their own set of data files
