There is no way in Moneydance itself to import a list of categories from a CSV file, you can from a QIF file however.

One of the Moneydance users, Stuart, has created a Python script that will do it.

He has the script on his website.

Yes. In my useful scripts package there is one for import_categories.

FYI. I just updated this script quite a lot. Grab latest from my site. The useful_scripts zip also includes an example csv file too.

Let me know how it works for you?
