<p>The demo version is fully functional and allows you to manually
enter 100 transactions. Imported transactions are not limited, so
you'll be able to fully test importing your data from your bank or
other personal finance software.</p>
<p>Moneydance supports automatic downloads via Direct Connect, and
you can view a list of banks that support this feature <a href="http://infinitekind.com/fi">here</a>. Wells Fargo are listed,
which means they support direct OFX connections. You can setup
online banking within Moneydance by navigating to Online --> Set
Up Online Banking. Then select 'New Connection' and choose your
financial institution from the list. You may need to contact your
bank to enable Direct Connect access, and for your login
credentials (which generally differ from those used for ATM or
online banking)</p>
<p>Moneydance can connect to Wells Fargo's bill pay. You must
firstly ensure your account has been enabled for access with a
direct connection as detailed above. You may wish to refer to
<a href="http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/getting-started-2/getting-started-online-banking-and-bill-pay">
this article</a> which details how to setup online banking and bill
pay. Generally, banks requires more lead time for direct connect
payments than they might allow on their website. However, if you
want to ignore the lead time requirements and try to send a payment
sooner, you can do this in Moneydance. Just uncheck the "Observe
Online Payment Date restrictions" option in the Network
preferences. This will allow you to send payments that are
technically restricted.</p>
<p>There are extensions available within Moneydance which may suit
your needs. The 'Balance Predictor' extension and the 'Money
Foresight' extension. The Balance Predictor extension tries to take
into account past history and scheduled reminders to project the
balances of accounts in the future. Money Foresight gives many more
options for tracking future expenses. Both of these extensions can
be downloaded within Moneydance by navigating to Extensions -->
Manage Extensions.</p>
<p>You can view a list of categories within Tools -->
Categories, and can read more about adding, amending and deleting
categories in <a href="http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/getting-started-2/getting-started-account-and-category-basics">
this article</a>.</p>
<p>If you'd like to export your data from Quicken, you should
follow <a href="http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/importing-data-from-banks-and-other-programs/importing-data-from-quicken-in-qif-format">
these steps</a> to export your data as a QIF file, then import to
Moneydance. In particular make sure you specify to Import into a
<em>new account</em> rather than an existing account. And you set
the source to "From another program".<br>
It is highly recommended to export all Quicken data into a single
QIF file, as doing so makes the import process much smoother.
Please use the option in Quicken to export "all accounts" if
available. The one exception to this is if you have accounts in
more than one currency - if thats the case, then you can follow
<a href="http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/importing-data-from-banks-and-other-programs/how-can-i-transfer-my-data-from-quicken-into-moneydance">
these steps</a> to import multiple QIF files.</p>
